Welcome to our newest member, Ramona Vanderwyck!

Ramona has been interested in joining Soroptimist for the last ten years, but was waiting to complete her MBA before joining.  She graduated from California Lutheran University with a BS in Business Management and earned her MBA in May 2017, with a professional track of Non Profit Social Enterprise.

She was inducted on September 5th as a member of Soroptimist International of the Conejo.

Ramona has a passion for helping others.  She has volunteered for more than a decade to help in the fight against cancer.  She has served as a chairperson for two years for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, four years as a participant for the Susan G Komen 60-mile walk, was a Girl Scout leader for 20 years and is currently the Vice President of Operations for the Michael P. Nosco Foundation, a non-profit she built to honor the memory of her longtime friend and co-worker Mike Nosco.   The annual Mike Nosco Memorial Bicycle Ride was established as the foundation’s primary fundraiser.  The very tough 80-mile bicycle ride will be held November 3 to raise funds which in turn will provide financial relief to families and/or individuals in the community who are confronting a life threatening illness.

Ramona has worked at Amgen for 26 years and is currently a Sr. Associate Business Analyst in IT Security.  Ramona is also an avid hiker and enjoys many other outdoor sports!  She has two daughters, Justine and Julian and recently became a proud grandmother to a new granddaughter, Athena, who just turned two-months old!
