Human Trafficking Awareness and Assistance

Soroptimist International of Conejo Valley continues to partner with the local Interface Children & Family Services (Human Trafficking Response Program) to support women who have been victims of domestic sex trafficking and have been rescued and provided with temporary shelter in Ventura County.  Large tote bags were delivered to Interface for the women who are temporarily housed at HEART House.  The tote bags contained a variety of personal hygiene and clothing items to help women during their transition to becoming survivors and recover from the unimaginable trauma they have experienced.

Members gathered to fill 11 large tote bags for another delivery, on January 19, 2022, to Interface Children & Family Services, for the women being temporarily housed at HEART House.
